We have seen over 200 patients over the last 2 days in the medical clinic we are conducting here. The people are so very grateful for our help. I just wish we could see them all. Each day we have to turn away many people simply because we cannot see all of them. Jasmanny Castaneda, a freshman at FAA was helping in the medical clinic today. Towards the end of the day, he came up to Mrs. Bullington and said ¨I am having such a great time on this trip. I had no idea how much fun it would be helping and serving people.¨
Yesterday, we were blessed with the protection of God. We were driving our bus into town for our evening meeting and came around a corner and a huge mud slide had just occurred and was blocking the majority of the road. We were able to slowly get around it, but all of us on the bus realized how God had just protected us. We were late leaving for the meeting by 15 minutes and I was frustrated that the meeting was going to start late. After seeing the mudslide, I realized that God may have caused us to be late so our bus would not be hit by the boulder that was on the road. God is good and we praise Him for His protection.
We have lots of pictures and videos, but the internet is very slow here and it is very difficult to send pictures. We will do our best, but are limited by the slow internet.
Our construction crew was able to complete the interior painting of one of the churches we are working on today. The students have had outstanding attitudes and have been working very hard.
I will send another update tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers!
Blessings,
Eric
