From Jason Flores in Seattle

Receiving texts from my wife (in Peru) and talking to her briefly by phone.

Here are points from her last text. Hope it helps. Happy Sabbath and please pray. This was from one hour ago:
  • We are headed to our site to speak.
  • Some are having a difficult time with altitude sickness.
  • Tonight we ate for dinner noodles with pesto, onions with tofu, and some kind of soup
  • The kids are nervous for speaking.
  • It is getting dark here in Quiquijana.
  • The locals (don't seem to smile often) and when we walked up to a child they shy away.
  • We were able to visit out sites earlier in the day. To see where the teams were speaking and make sure the lights were working. The first place was Cuspata (happy place).
  • I really like the culture here. Though, I am sad to see how they live in tiny houses made mostly of clay blocks and whatever else they can find.
  • There are a lot of animals running around. Julianna touched a donkey today.
  • Julianna (Flores) and Andrew would like us to pray for their speaking. I think that they are going to do well after nerves calm down.
  •  I will take pictures and video some.
