58 High School Students and Adults on a Mission Trip to Urcos, Peru

There has been a resurgence of spirituality over this last year at Fresno Adventist Academy. Fifty-eight students and adults from FAA are on a mission trip to Urcos, Peru with the Quiet Hour Ministries for 10 days starting March 12th. We will be sharing the grace of Jesus. This mission trip will include the construction of a church, evening evangelism meetings, medical/dental/eye clinics, and Vacation Bible School programs for the children. In addition, health and family talks will be included with the evening evangelism meetings.

Urcos is home to a small lake and ruins. It is a poor, remote village. The oral hygiene is very poor there. Many of children have decay in multiple teeth.

Urcos is the capital of the province Quispicanchi in the region Cusco. Urcos is 10,330 ft above sea level and is located about 45 minutes southeast of the City of Cusco. Urcos is also about a two hour drive from famous ruins of Machu Picchu.  Average temperatures for Urcos in March range from 66-67°F high to 42-44°F low.
